Hi, I’m Kat
For years I was climbing the career ladder in the fast-paced world of digital marketing and agency life. Like many people working in that environment, I became used to long days, constant stimulation and the pressure to always be productive.
Eventually, I realised something wasn’t right, I stopped eating, I was so anxious and I completely burnt out.
Yoga started as a simple way to unwind after work, but over time it became something much deeper. Through movement and breath, I began reconnecting with a sense of calm I hadn’t felt in a long time.
Unexpectedly, it also led me back to something I had pushed away for years: my Chinese roots.
A Return to Ancient Chinese Wisdom
Through practices like qigong, yin yoga, and meditation, I began rediscovering traditions that view the body, breath and mind as one interconnected system.
Growing up, I had distanced myself from many of these ideas. But the more I explored them, the more I realised how powerful they are, especially in a modern world that constantly asks us to move faster and do more.
These practices offered something the modern world rarely does:
a slower, more intuitive way to move, breathe, and restore balance.
What I Share
Through Mindfulness With Kat, you’ll find simple practices designed for real life:
• Qigong movements for nervous system reset
• Yin yoga/myo-yin for deep rest and fascia release
• Short meditations for busy days
• Insights from ancient Chinese wisdom for modern life
My goal is to make these practices accessible, grounding and supportive, even if you only have a few minutes in your day.
Ancient Wisdom for Modern Burnout
Today my approach blends traditional Chinese practices with modern understanding of the nervous system.
Through qigong, yin yoga, and meditation, I guide gentle practices designed to help:
• calm the nervous system
• release tension in the body
• reconnect with breath and awareness
• create small moments of restoration in everyday life
These practices aren’t about pushing harder or achieving perfect poses.
They’re about listening to your body and allowing it to return to balance naturally.
